Rope

Shibari Portfolio

At some point in my healing journey, the world of conscious sexuality opened itself up to me, and I dove deep into Neo-Tantra and conscious kink. I was particularly drawn to Shibari, the Japanese art of rope bondage, because I noticed it invited in me the kind of pause I needed to embody scenarios of physical intimacy.

Because of my prior pornographic conditioning, I had a go-go-go mentality when it came to making love. The more I practiced Shibari, the more it tapped into the slow, steady engineer inside me, and it also awakened the artist: the art both of the beautiful feminine body before me and of the gorgeous rope ties holding her body in place, while I got to admire her, lean back, and choose intentionally in what manner I wanted to arouse her.

In this journey, I made many mistakes, and I learned a lot from them. It was also some of the most beautiful art that came out of me, which was up on an Instagram page called the Surrender Devotion Project until I took it down in my Christian era. These pictures give you a glimpse of the art that came through me.
